Baby Pelican

Illegally taken from its nest as a hatchling, this bird was abandoned on the Halifax River bank with a respiratory infection. During his six month stay at the Wildlife Center he consumed over $500.00 worth of food and medication.  Eventually he went to the Pelican Man Sanctuary in Sarasota to learn to be a pelican.
